Natasha Rader

VP of Product Strategy,
Veterans United Home Loans

“My goal has always been to make sure the right voices are heard and that the work we do together is making a real difference for our customers.”

Natasha Rader has spent 15 years at Veterans United Home Loans, moving from brand into product ownership and eventually product strategy. Today, she leads technology initiatives across the lending process, with a focus on making the systems behind a mortgage work better for both the employees using them and the Veterans and military families they serve.

Rader spends time listening to frontline employees and customers, then uses what she hears to shape the systems and processes around them. Her goal is to make sure the right voices are heard and keep product strategy grounded in the problems people encounter.

She oversees a team implementing roughly 200 technology enhancements each week, while keeping those changes aligned with business priorities and the customer experience. The volume is notable, but so is the operating philosophy behind it. Product improvement becomes continuous work, with smaller changes accumulating into a lending process that’s more consistent and reliable.

Her emphasis on employee experience matters in mortgage lending because the tools employees use directly affect the borrower experience. When loan teams have better access to information, clearer workflows, and fewer operational hurdles, they can respond faster and guide borrowers more smoothly through the lending process. Rader’s approach treats improving those internal systems as part of improving CX.

For Rader, better CX is built well before the borrower reaches the visible parts of the journey. It starts with listening to the people doing the work, improving the systems they depend on, and repeating that process as customer expectations and technology change.
