Dawn Block
“We start with trust.”
Dawn Block became eBay’s Vice President of Global Customer Experience in October 2025, taking responsibility for the experience eBay delivers across its marketplace. She came to the role after more than a year running the U.S. business and leading major categories including collectibles, electronics, and home.
Block helped advance eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee and Vault, both designed to reduce uncertainty around high-value transactions through authentication and secure storage. She called the Vault “the future of collecting,” with the idea of building trust into the transaction itself.
She believes seller experience and buyer experience aren’t separate priorities, and argues that stronger sellers ultimately create a stronger marketplace for buyers as well. For her, sellers are the “true eBay experts,” and she treats their perspective as an input into how the platform evolves.
Rather than beginning with channels, service metrics, or individual support interactions, Block looks first at the conditions that make a marketplace work, such as credible protections, confidence in the transaction, and enough balance that both buyers and sellers want to return.
Credibility and trust sit at the center of Block’s CX philosophy, and she carries those same values into how she thinks about AI. She has helped bring new AI capabilities directly to sellers through eBay’s Seller Check-In events, including tools that make listing faster with less manual work.
eBay is a global online marketplace connecting buyers and sellers across more than 190 markets. Founded in 1995, the company supports everything from small businesses and collectors to recommerce, with 136 million active buyers and approximately 2.6 billion live listings worldwide as of June 2026.
